Shakhon, Mohammad Samad

I am Mohammad Samad, known as Shakhon, a proud resident of Mesa, AZ since 2005. I am a husband to Rahnuma Mahajabin and a father to Sakif Samad. By profession, I serve as a Database Administrator at Cable One, Inc.

In my years here, I’ve cultivated strong connections within the Bangladeshi community in greater Phoenix. I have experienced firsthand the transformative power of effective communication in fostering understanding, collaboration, and unity.

As your potential Communication Director, I aim to leverage this power to its fullest potential. My commitment is clear – to keep you informed about crucial developments, initiatives, and decisions. I promise accessibility to every member of our organization. Your feedback, ideas, and concerns are invaluable, and I am dedicated to creating channels that make it easy for you to share them.

I will take part in the development of a BAP email communication tool, a platform to keep our community engaged and informed effectively. For me, effective communication is more than delivering messages; it’s about fostering a sense of unity. I am committed to ensuring that every member of our community feels heard, valued, and connected.

As the Director of Communications, my primary duties and responsibilities include:

1. Maintain and administer Association’s group-email and text lists
2. Post the official announcements of the Association
3. Responsible for contacting members to promote the Association’s event and collect any new contact details to be added to the database, email and text list
4. Assist the Director of Administration in maintaining and updating member databases
5. Create sub-committees from any group of members to help in performing duties
