I am Hamid Kazi, I stand before you as a passionate advocate for our community. I’ve had the privilege of being a part of this incredible community. I’ve listened, learned, and grown alongside each of you. Now, I am now ready to take the next step, to serve as your President for the 2024–2025 term, dedicated to our collective progress.

As your President, my vision is simple yet profound: to create an environment where every member feels not only heard but actively included in our journey. Together, we will build on our strengths, address our challenges, and amplify the vibrant spirit that defines us.

I strongly believe in the strength of unity. Together, we can achieve more than any individual effort. I am committed to fostering an atmosphere that encourages collaboration, respects diversity, and celebrates our shared identity. Recognizing that each of you brings unique talents and perspectives, I will be dedicated to empowering every member, providing the resources, and creating opportunities for personal and collective growth.

Transparency is the bedrock of trust. I am committed to transparency in decision-making, ensuring that every member is informed and has a voice in the direction we take.

In the coming term, I will spearhead initiatives to reach out to every member, understand their needs, and ensure our organization is responsive to the evolving aspirations of our community. Let’s bring our community together through thoughtfully planned events that reflect our diversity, celebrate our achievements, and promote a sense of belonging. Furthermore, I will work towards establishing programs focusing on cultural, charity, education, and mentorship, ensuring our community members are well-equipped for success.

As the President, my primary duties and responsibilities include:

1. I will be the chief executive of the Association
2. Chair board meetings, and represent the organization to outside bodies
3. Preside over the general meetings of the Association
4. Lead, advise, and assist other Board of Directors and ensure that the Board remains active and productive
5. Liaison with other organizations, entities as necessary and appropriate
6. Work as lead for donation and fund-raising efforts
7. Make strategies and take measures to increase the Association’s overall level of resources and capacity
8. Assist and advise Director of Finance for preparation of short, medium and long-term financial plans
9. Operate the bank accounts of the Association in conjunction with the Executive Vice President and Director of Finance as co-signatories
10. Create different sub-committees involving the members of the Board of Directors and outside the members of the Board of Directors (if necessary) that are deemed necessary
