Profile of Nadira Sultana (Mome)

I am Nadira Sultana (Mome) and I will be the Director of Finance (Treasurer) for the 2024-2025 term. Building upon my prior experience as the Director of Community Affairs for two terms, where I played a pivotal role in community engagement and establishing meaningful partnerships.

I am eager to bring a fresh perspective to the financial management aspect of our organization and am driven by a commitment to fiscal responsibility.

As the newly nominated Director of Finance for our nonprofit organization, my overarching aim is to leverage my financial understanding to contribute significantly to the organization.

I am committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in all financial transactions. My primary goal is to ensure that finances are utilized effectively for programs and services benefiting our beloved community. Additionally, I aim to explore avenues for securing funds to organize events that cater to the needs of the community.

As the Director of Finance, my primary duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Responsible for maintaining the financial records of the Association
  2. Assess Association’s financial requirements on a continuous basis and recommend to the Board of Director
  3. Prepare Association’s annual budget and place it to the Board of Director for approval
  4. Prepare the financial reports on behalf of the Board of Director
  5. Responsible for submitting the Yearly Financial Report to the Arizona Corporation Commission before the registration Date of the Arizona Corporation Commission.
  6. Work as chief financial officer of the Association and responsible for financial, accounting and audit aspects of the Association, if any.
  7. Deal with the Internal Revenue Services regarding tax affairs (if any).
  8. Post annual reports, financial reports, audit reports, tax filing documents (if any) to the Association’s appropriate site and store them to the repository.
  9. Prepare and send the money receipts to all the donors of the Association.
  10. Work as prime contact for annual membership registration and administer the registration process
  11. Responsible for keeping track of the paid membership list and sending the membership acknowledgement receipts to all the paid members of the Association
  12. Maintain and operate an account with a local bank.
  13. The signature card of the bank account will be signed by the President, the Executive Vice President, and the Director of Finance. At least two signatures will be required to withdraw money from the account when the draw exceeds US$100.00.
  14. Create sub-committees from any group of members to help in performing the duties
