I am Shahrina Afrin (Tanya). Working as an Architect. I express my gratitude to be able to serve our community as an executive member of BAP (Bangladesh Association of Phoenix) in 2022-2024 in the position of Director of Media and Publication. My footsteps towards joining BAP started by being the chief editor and publication of IMLD magazine in 2022.\u00a0 Also the hardship our community was going through at that time, encouraged me to take the responsibility to strengthen our association.<\/span><\/p>

\u200bDuring my tenure in BAP, I put my expertise on digital media by designing posters, banners, creating and posting on fb events, arranging the kids’ activities in different cultural events, participating in volunteer proceedings, cultural activities, singing \/stage performances etc. Currently I am working on preparing all the campaign materials and upgrading the BAP website.\u00a0 Besides BAP, I am also a volunteer teacher of Shikor Bangla school, teaching Bangla, songs, art & craft classes to kids, since 2010.<\/span><\/p>

Serving the community for betterment was always my interest from my adolescence. Standing by the truth, being the voice of silence and supporting the noble cause is my utmost priority. By working with BAP I got the opportunity to help shape our great Bangladeshi community here, in the greater phoenix area. These are the same cause I stand for next term to continue supporting the association working for the community. My previous experiences will help me advance participation in my field and help others as well. Upgrading the BAP website, integration of interactive content, incorporating donation and easy payment options, creating dynamic member lists, Upgrading the email communication system are some of the ongoing works that need more time to accomplish. That is why we need all of your support and cooperation to help us complete our unfinished work and thus serve you at our best..<\/span><\/p>

As the Director of Media and Publication, my primary duties and responsibilities include:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Responsible for all the publications of the Association. The types and nature of these publications will be decided by the Board of Directors at the beginning of the term.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Responsible for improving and managing the Association’s official website<\/span><\/li>
  3. Ensure that information on the website is current and is relevant to the needs of the Association<\/span><\/li>
  4. Responsible for managing the Association’s social sites<\/span><\/li>
  5. Responsible for publishing events to the appropriate social sites<\/span><\/li>
  6. Store all digital contents and maintain historical chronology in the appropriate archive and repository area<\/span><\/li>
  7. Create\u00a0 sub-committees from any group of members to help in performing the duties<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
